Wednesday’s Six Sentence Story Challenge #1

Can you write a story in just six sentences?

Every Wednesday I am going to put a word prompt up and the challenge is to use that word somewhere in your six sentence story.

You can then share your story in the comments section below or leave a link to the story on your blog.

Today’s word is…

GNARLED

Have fun and I look forward to reading your stories.

He had seen them before, stealthily moving through the woods, and each time he had been spared. But this time, his trunk now misshapen and gnarled, he knew his time had come. This time, the ax was for him.

  2. Our new teacher placed his large, gnarled hands on the table and looked at us.We tried not to look at those gruesome, threatening hands but they were almost hypnotic the way they appeared to attach themselves to our eyes.
“I see that my hands intrigue you,” he whispered. “Would you like me to tell you how I got them?”
Jimmy Smith, the new boy in our class, shouted, “Yes please sir!”
That night Jimmy, like the rest of us, tossed and turned in his bed wishing he hadn’t asked.
