Friday’s 100-Word Story Challenge #7

Every Friday I plan to post a prompt that will encourage you to write a 100-word story.

The inspiration for your story each week will be a black and white photo (taken from Pixabay). Your challenge is to write a story of exactly 100-words inspired by that picture.

If you would like to share your story then simply add it into the comments section below

Have fun and I look forward to reading your stories.

  1. I looked at my watch again. It was most unlike him to be late. The mist enveloping the pier showed no sign of abating. It made me nervous. Then I saw the faint outline of his boat.
“I was beginning to worry about you, my friend,” I shouted.
“No need,” came the quiet reply. “My last appointment was unusually reluctant. But I’m here now.”
As the boat moored I could see the outline of the Grim Reaper.
“Here are the souls you ordered, Peter,” he whispered. “Do as you will with them. I’ll be back with more in a week.”

I look forward to reading your comments
