    The restaurant manager caught up with us at the bus stop in Shields Street. He paused to catch his breath.
    “You are the couple who had the escargots for starters, right?” We nodded warily. “I’m so sorry, I’m such a jinx, I
    should never taken this job, everything’s going wrong. Did the escargots taste alright to you, only the chef can’t
    find his glass eye?”


  2. James knew they had to be wary, overconfidence could jinx the entire operation. They’d entered this mind through a small hole drilled into the victim’s head, just behind his left ear. The search and destroy team had exactly 30 minutes before they’d have to get out.
    “Sam,” said Peter, “You search out any anti-government thoughts and bag them. Alan, I want you to go through his dreams. Meanwhile Jenny and I will drop down into his soul and see what’s hidden there.”
